Shake 632: Snowdome plus

December 28, 2011

Virg, Coffs Harbour (Australia), November 2011?

We love a photo dome!

My friends have some keen eyes. Somehow they seem to find all manner of snowdome-celebrating products like cards, scratchies, garlands and even stationery. I did well this Christmas, especially with these 3D cards.

Thanks Lea, Lish and Wonks

WARNING. It’s not for the faint-hearted and cover those kids’ eyes. For the rest of you, don’t worry, I did a triple take when I was given this dome too. My first R-rated dome is a beauty, isn’t it? Oh come on, he’s just having a little fun!

...and maybe a little closer?

Ok, so it IS a little bit wrong!

Thanks Cookie and Newfie!

The school office is a bustling little hub. Piles of paperwork, the phone constantly seeking attention and once the bell goes, the kids begin to present themselves: one’s hurt their knee, the other feels ill or someone’s in trouble. A little overrun and behind, I volunteered my services here today, but I did get a chance to escape and sit with the visiting parents at a school assembly. When did the score for the National Anthem become so cool? The accompaniment almost sounded like something out of a Disney feature! I was impressed, but not as impressed as I was with the kindergarten singing spectacular brought to us by the number five. ‘Five speckled frogs sitting on a speckled log…’ but just as their performance was coming to a close, the grade 1 teacher gleefully spotted me and I was whisked off for some design advice!

This week’s handball update: I was promoted. My Super-Duper (remember these ice treats?!) and I were promoted to the upper ranks of the all-boys game around the corner! Tricky, I’m just keeping up with this crew – not only in handball skills, but in height as well!
