Shake 443: Compensating for…

June 22, 2011

Jem, Taronga Zoo (Sydney, Australia), Jan 2011

I think a definite trait of humans is to compensate for their failings, wouldn’t you agree? That’s why height-challenged people like me go for those heels. That’s why some small guys go for beefed up cars. Does anyone else think it’s strange when we start applying this to our pets? I’m on a roll with discoveries this week. I learned that when male dogs are neutered, you can actually ask the vet to insert some silicone implants into your little pup’s pouch so he doesn’t feel so disadvantaged. They’re called Neuticals. Have I just been living under a dome?
